At the same time, the design allows for easy approximate tuning of the full gain spectrum of the integrated laser diode. The DL pro and DL/pro design are particularly much simpler to operate and tune than other ECDLs. These advantages make these instruments suitable for integration into complex experiments such as Bose-Einstein condensation or quantum computing.
Until now, the DL pro was available in only four versions with special AR diodes that are coarsely tuned to 780 nm, 850 nm, 940 nm, or 1040 nm around 95 nm. Now, Toptica has adopted a mechanical design for integrating its full range of AR and FP laser diodes for external cavity lasers. The DL 100/pro design is available at more wavelengths between 372 nm and 1670 nm, with output powers up to 300 mW.
