WDM technology, with passive optical multiplexing, multiplexes the transmit (TX) and receive (RX) lines onto a single fiber. This effectively halves cabling costs when replacing a dual-fiber converter with the GE-C351. For
example, a pair of GE-C351s with different wavelengths (1310 nm at one end and 1550 nm at the other) could be installed for point-to-point transmission with a range of up to 20 kilometers over single-mode fiber.
The GE-C351 can be used as a standalone unit or as a slide-in rack module in a central cabinet.
This model, which measures 26.2 x 70.3 x 94 mm and weighs 200 grams, is RoHS compliant and CE marked.
The GE-C351 supports 1000Base-T to 1000Base-LX signal conversion over a fiber cord using an integrated WDM.
