The device consists of an encapsulation with RJ-45 jack input and output, for placement at various points in the wiring.
Placed throughout the TCP/IP installation, these devices are able to divert lightning strikes to ground via a cable, thereby protecting our devices from potential damage caused by voltage fluxes.
Its main features are:
• Ethernet connection protection (10/100 Mbps) for the LPB-101; Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps) for the LPB-101G; and Gigabit with PoE for the LPB-101G-P.
• They comply with the 10/70 microsecond 6KV common-mode overvoltage test (provided the ground is properly installed).
• The package dimensions for all three are 70 x 25 x 25 mm (W x D x H).
Acuwa, distributed by RC Microelectronics, presents three new devices for the protection of CAT 5 and CAT6 Ethernet communication lines against lightning, the LPB-101 / LPB-101G and LPB-101G. All have been designed for installation on flat surfaces in the work environment.
