A server-based solution, EagleEye Connect acts as the central interface for Siemon's innovative AIM MapIT® G2 system. It collects, monitors, and stores network intelligence data from any MapIT G2 control panel via smart patch panels, available in Category 6 UTP, Category 6A F/UTP and UTP, and Category 7A F/STP, as well as for single-mode and multi-mode MTP-to-LC and LC-to-LC fiber optic splitters.

EagleEye Connect boasts numerous features, including a navigation structure that displays the hierarchical relationship of all network assets down to the port and device level. Equipment identification is straightforward thanks to realistic graphical views of different levels with device locations, and front and rear views of racks showing patch connections. The end-to-end circuit diagram shows the path from the connection port to the final device, allowing users to precisely identify the network configuration. Furthermore, remote access via a web browser enables multi-site, multi-location network management from anywhere in the world.

Network security has been optimized thanks to the software's 24x7 monitoring capability, and it provides alerts to the relevant personnel in case of unauthorized connections or disconnections, and movements of IT equipment and devices.

Fast and easy virtualization of the network infrastructure is provided through a real-time database, and an auto-discovery feature allows for the automatic maintenance and updating of an equipment inventory. With its ability to assign, manage, and track specific activities, it can also contribute to the organization of work order management.

Looking to the future, EagleEye Connect can also expand its functionality as the network infrastructure evolves. The software includes a comprehensive reporting feature that allows for planning expansions or changes, including inventory and capacity reports that display available ports and rack space.
