The PL-4000T is a modular, standards-based device that, in addition to increasing network capacity, enables a flexible pay-as-you-grow architecture by delivering a 4x100GbE muxponder or a 1x400GbE transponder per segment using pluggable optical modules. Furthermore, the PL-4000T strengthens data security through Layer-1 encryption based on the GCM-AES-256 and Diffie-Hellman (DH) Key Exchange standards.
The PL-4000T supports standard QSFPDD, CPF2-DCO, and QSFPDD-DCO MSA pluggable modules and industry-standard OFEC and CFEC.
The solution integrates EDFA, mux/demux, and an optical switch for fiber protection, delivering a comprehensive DWDM/OTN infrastructure solution in a compact 1U form factor. The PL-4000T provides a complete demarcation point between customer 100GbE, OTU4, and 400GbE services and DWDM networks, and is interoperable with routers and switches from other manufacturers.
