The mSFP transceivers incorporate Avago's 850 nm VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) technology and PIN detector, ensuring the AFBR-54D7APZ module's compliance with Fibre Channel specifications at 8.5/4.25/2.125 GBd and the AFBR-703SNZ module's compliance with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR standards. The devices utilize the SFP+ electrical connector and I2C interface and conform to the Multi Source Agreement (MSA) electrical specifications for the Small Form Factor (SFP) duplex transceiver format. The mSFP modules are designed for low power consumption with a typical dissipation of 0.6 W.
