Translates the MPI/PROFIBUS electrical interface to an optical interface and vice versa.
FLEXtra® FO enables transmission speeds of 9.6 kbps to 12 Mbps on PROFIBUS with automatic speed detection. With its optical signal transmission, it offers complete electrical isolation between PROFIBUS stations and PROFIBUS subnetworks.
The key advantage of FLEXtra FO is its immunity to electromagnetic interference.
Transmission signals are converted into optical signals within the FLEXtra FO and then transmitted over the fiber optic line. Furthermore, the edge, level, and duty cycle of the signals are regenerated. FLEXtra FO is available with three different optical interfaces and can therefore be seamlessly integrated with existing transmission systems. It is available for POF and PCF FO.
Quick diagnosis via separate LEDs for fiber optic segments. It also features DIP switches to disconnect all or some segments.
