These Noyes OTDR launch reels provide 150, 500 and 1000 meters of multimode optical fiber in 50um, 62.5um, and single-mode fiber in a compact and lightweight ring, ideal for testing fiber optic links with an OTDR (up to 2 km) in local networks.
The OTDR requires launching and receiving test cables to measure end-to-end loss in fiber optic links. A launch reel, connecting the OTDR to the link under test, reveals the insertion loss and reflectance of the connection at the near end. A receive cable, connected to the farthest link, reveals the insertion loss and reflectance of the connection at the farthest end.
The reels are available with all types of connectors.
