Advantech collaborates with and sponsors the Industry 4.0 Master's program offered to university graduates. The objective of this program is for students to learn about the technologies linked to the industrial transformation of the production model. This Master's in Industry 4.0 facilities offers a great opportunity to be at the forefront of technological training, as so-called "smart factories" feature shared spaces between humans and machines and assign greater responsibilities to the most qualified and well-trained individuals, capable of efficiently managing these new production environments.

SEAS offers the Master's in Industry 4.0 to provide in-depth knowledge of all the technologies linked to this transformation: Automation and advanced robotics; human-machine interaction; cyber-physical systems and IoT; additive manufacturing; smart materials technology; advanced maintenance; modeling, simulation and virtualization of processes; big data, cloud computing and data analysis; and security and protection.

Advantech not only provides technological knowledge and training to introduce students to new IoT platforms and solutions, but also supplies real devices so students can experience the potential of the IIoT firsthand. “Advantech firmly believes in a cooperative, co-creation model to drive digitalization in industry. This model must begin with education,” says Quelia Blanca, Key Account Manager at Advantech Iberia. “That’s why the company is proud and happy to collaborate with the SEAS center on its Industry 4.0 Master’s program.”

Ana Pellicer, Teaching Coordinator for the Automation, Electricity and Renewable Energy Area, says: "Given that the training provided by SEAS, Open Higher Education, is eminently practical, we have found in Advantech an ideal partner focused on IIoT solutions that allow students to put into practice the potential of real devices of these new technologies."

Supporting Manufacturers' Digital Transformation:
Industry 4.0 is already established and operational, and the results are beginning to emerge. We're referring to the digital transformation of customer processes to improve efficiency and production, and reduce downtime, energy losses, quality issues, and product losses. Most companies are at a point between strategy definition and guidance, with proof of concept testing and large-scale management and implementation. This requires more and more experts in IIoT architectures and solutions.

Advantech is a global IoT provider that firmly believes in the importance of establishing close collaboration with universities as they serve two purposes: on the one hand, to encourage the advancement of science and technology and, on the other hand, to encourage the application of that technology for economic development.
