The combined offering will be publicly unveiled at ISE 2026 for the European market, marking the first time the complete workflow has been showcased as a unified system.
Designed around three key components—gesture control, hardware and an easy-to-use modular software platform, an intuitive 3D spatial signage application, and a complementary content management solution—AmeriA StarKit enables users to upload, organize, and present existing 3D assets in minutes.

The system incorporates two integrated Intel RealSense sensors, mounted on a specially designed bracket that aligns with Sony's SRD, enabling plug-and-play installation. The sensors track hand movements in real time, allowing users to interact with 3D content without touching the screen, creating an intuitive and engaging experience ideal for customer service environments.

By combining Ameria's interaction technology and content software platform, Sony will be able to offer, for the first time worldwide, a complete, ready-to-use 3D interactive signage system based on Sony's SRD. In addition to the high visual quality and compelling glasses-free 3D experience for which Sony's Spatial Reality Display is known, this collaboration introduces new interactive signage use cases in retail, corporate, and educational environments. Sony and Ameria also plan to expand into markets where 3D data is already widely used or highly desirable, such as healthcare, architecture, planning, design, and engineering. Ameria's StarKit addresses this challenge, offering a seamless, ready-to-use workflow that allows customers to implement immersive 3D experiences without requiring specialized development expertise. Furthermore, the system offers industry-leading precision in gesture control. Whether clicking with a flick of the finger, pinching with the thumb and forefinger, or rotating objects in 3D space, everything is easy and intuitive to use.

Sony and Ameria are facing increasing demand for immersive, interactive, and ROI-focused solutions in retail, museums, and corporate showrooms, all while keeping sustainability goals in mind. One of the advantages of immersive 3D displays in retail is the significant reduction in the need for physical product samples. With Sony's SRD and Ameria's StarKit, retailers can showcase entire product ranges, including colors, materials, and configurations, virtually, without the need to manufacture or transport multiple variants. This reduces inventory requirements, decreases transportation and storage emissions, and helps minimize waste from unused or obsolete samples.

This approach fosters more efficient product lifecycle management while enabling richer in-store experiences. It directly complements Sony's Road to Zero environmental program, which aims to achieve net-zero environmental footprint by 2050 by reducing resource consumption, lowering CO₂ emissions, and supporting more sustainable customer ecosystems.

“At a time when brands are seeking richer customer experiences and greater operational efficiency, this collaboration offers a truly unique proposition,” says Rik Willemse, Director of Professional Displays and Solutions at Sony Europe. “Sony’s Spatial Reality Display is already a benchmark for high-quality, glasses-free 3D. Combined with Ameria’s gesture control and content management capabilities, it opens the door to real-world applications that previously required complex, customized setups. This makes Ameria a strategic partner for Sony Professional Displays & Solutions and for the future development of our products. We are confident that together we can launch a revolutionary product that will transform how we work and interact in 3D, as well as how we present products, while making the process more efficient, effective, and sustainable.”.

The package will be offered through selective distribution across Europe. The Ameria StarKit is compatible with the SRD ELF-SR2 model. A three-year warranty for Sony and Ameria hardware will be included as standard, and a software license for Ameria's content management applications will be available for several years.

“Our work with Sony represents a major step forward in making immersive 3D experiences a part of everyday customer interactions. By combining the precision of the Spatial Reality Display with our StarKit, we are offering retailers and brands a completely new way to bring products to life—intuitively, interactively, and seamlessly,” says Albrecht Metter, CEO of Ameria.
“We are currently working on application scenarios with our first customers, and interest is high due to the ease of deployment of StarKit. Initial deployments are already planned for the first quarter of 2026. Together, Sony and Ameria are delivering a revolutionary plug-and-play solution that makes it easy to use 3D in any environment. Many companies are looking for ways to display their 3D content and make it interactive. New experiences are being created not only in retail stores, trade shows, exhibitions, and museums, but also in education, healthcare, engineering, architecture, and real estate.” The use cases in various industries demonstrate the versatility of the technology and reinforce our conviction that we are addressing a genuine need that transcends industries."
