The joint proposal is based on a self-installable in-car device from ZTE and the Net4things platform and applications. Through this service, which will be marketed primarily by telecommunications operators, insurance companies, and large retailers, users will have access to a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot in their cars, as well as information on engine maintenance, fault diagnostics, and driving assistance, among other features.
ZTE's sales director, Gonzalo Eguíluz, states, "We are in the era of connected things, which is why it's so important that we bring connectivity to our customers' cars. With our technology and this partner, we will achieve it.".
Net4Things CEO Joaquín García-Baquero confirms that "We are truly excited about this opportunity. The fact that a renowned leader in telecommunications has chosen us confirms that our products, our technology, and our team can meet the highest expectations.".
"We recognize that the business potential of this alliance is exceptional, but what we are truly proud of is contributing to the well-being of our customers through technology that makes their lives simpler and better," adds García-Baquero.
