One of his greatest contributions was achieving market leadership in the field of mobile radio testing and measurement while heading that division. The company's ongoing entry into the oscilloscope market marks the end of his long and productive career. Effective July 1, 2010, his colleague Manfred Fleischmann assumed the position of President and CEO.  Gerhard Geier, formerly head of the radio monitoring and radiolocation division, was recently appointed to the board of directors. Christian Leicher, managing partner, remains on the board.
Michael Vohrer, a widely recognized expert in T&M (test and measurement), charted important new courses for Rohde & Schwarz. Vohrer launched the R&S CMU200 Universal Radio Communication Tester, one of the company's best-selling products of all time. According to Vohrer, he is leaving the company for personal reasons: “Now that we have successfully guided the company through the economic crisis and I see things returning to normal, I would like to start enjoying my well-deserved retirement.”
With the new board of directors, composed of Manfred Fleischmann, Christian Leicher, and Gerhard Geier, Rohde & Schwarz will continue to rely on the proven combination of extensive experience and innovative expertise.
