Alongside Google, other major technology companies have strengthened their presence in the city. Companies such as Capgemini, Babel, and Accenture have expanded their teams in Málaga to work on digital transformation, cloud computing, and cybersecurity projects for international clients. These companies have primarily established themselves in Málaga TechPark (Andalusia Technology Park), which already houses hundreds of technology companies and has become one of the leading innovation hubs in Southern Europe.

The sector's growth is also supported by Spanish companies that have developed a strong presence in the field of cybersecurity. Among them, Hispasec Sistemas stands out, considered one of the pioneering companies in malware analysis in Spain. This Malaga-based company is known for creating VirusTotal, a platform later acquired by Google, which continues to operate from the city.
Around it, an increasingly specialized business network has emerged, focused on digital protection, security audits, and technological risk management. Companies such as Ingenia, Solbyte, Qualoom, Ciberso, and CMSI offer advanced cybersecurity services ranging from penetration testing and threat monitoring to regulatory compliance and the protection of digital infrastructure.

The ecosystem is rounded out by tech startups that are contributing innovative new solutions in the field of digital security. Among them is Lunamic, a company specializing in computer forensics, digital forensics analysis, and cybersecurity projects applied to business and legal environments.
This entrepreneurial dynamism is generating a growing demand for specialized professionals, which has also spurred new training initiatives in the city. In this context, ESSCA School of Management recently opened its campus in Malaga, strengthening the international educational offering in areas related to technology and business.
ESSCA offers the Bachelor in International Management program, a three-year international degree taught entirely in English. In the third year, students can choose a specialization in Business Artificial Intelligence, Data & Cybersecurity, designed to train professionals capable of understanding both the technological and strategic dimensions of digital security in organizations.

“Companies increasingly need professionals who understand the intersection of technology, data, and business management,” explains Stéphane Ruiz, director of ESSCA in Málaga. “Our goal is to train students capable of working in global environments where artificial intelligence, data, and cybersecurity are now key factors for competitiveness.”.

According to Ruiz, the growth of the city's technology ecosystem offers a unique opportunity to connect education with industry. “Málaga is experiencing an extraordinary moment. The presence of multinational technology companies, innovative startups, and research centers creates an ideal environment for students to develop careers in high-impact digital sectors.”
The sector's boom is also attracting international talent and contributing to the city's economic diversification. With the support of local institutions, universities, and technology companies, Málaga continues to strengthen its position as a European hub for digital innovation.

The convergence of global corporations, specialized local companies, and future-oriented educational programs is shaping a robust ecosystem poised for continued growth in the coming years. Within this context, cybersecurity is emerging as a key strategic pillar of the city's technological development.
