TE Connectivity (TE) has entered into exclusive negotiations with ABB to acquire ABB's entrelec® terminal block business. The transaction is subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions, including receipt of customary regulatory approvals and prior consultation with employee representative bodies.
The business comprises research and development, product development, marketing and sales and management activities in Chassieu, France; and with major manufacturing centers in France and Poland.
By adding ABB's entrelec® terminal block offering, under the entrelec product brand, TE could offer a complete power, signal and data connectivity system with special attention to harsh environments.
