Advantech's presence at Mobile World Congress will showcase the company's latest advancements in network and connectivity technology, demonstrating the growing strength of co-creation in the next phase of IoT implementation.
The following are brief descriptions of some of the demonstrations presented at the conference that connect connected devices using Advantech technologies.

Multi-access edge computing with ITRI, Trend Micro, and Wind River.
ITRI will demonstrate its ETSI MEC PoC #10 research running on Advantech's Packetarium XLc, an extremely dense and compact micro data center in an enclosure with 288 Intel® Xeon® cores and large-scale edge cloud storage capabilities. Attendees will experience the benefits of Wind River Titanium Cloud, providing a carrier-grade platform for bandwidth management and offloading ITRI services, along with low-latency application processing at the network edge. Visitors will discover the impact on applications that previously relied on the cloud from remote data centers and learn how a new generation of service-enabled applications can be successfully deployed at the edge. Demonstrations at the ITRI booth in Hall 5, #5A61

Edge Cloud, Fog, and IoT:
For applications requiring fewer compute resources than Packetarium XLc, Advantech’s SKY range of scalable network appliances and industrial servers provides server-class processing with rich and secure connectivity options that can deliver low-latency preprocessing, stream processing, and data analytics. Complementing Advantech’s portfolio of IoT devices and gateways, these platforms help bridge network infrastructure gaps for IoT deployments that can meet desired QoS metrics. At the ARM booth, visitors will learn how Advantech WISE-PaaS enables customers to access numerous IoT solutions through the WISE-PaaS marketplace and co-create the IoT innovations that will enable future IoT services.

6WIND and Cloudify will present a high-performance vRouter for secure multi-site and multi-cloud networks. This vRouter
is designed for 4G/5G backhaul, Broadband Network Gateway (BNG), and Universal Customer Premise (uCPE) use cases. The vRouter secures multi-site and multi-cloud networks, running bare metal, in a VM, or on a cloud of choice on Advantech servers. The 6WIND Turbo Router, along with Turbo IPsec BGP routing and IPsec VPN tunnels, is deployed, orchestrated by Cloudify, configured via CLI, Linux, or XML, instantiated on OpenStack, and monitored by Grafana. Advantech's SKY-8101 provides the white-box network hardware platform in a single-socket, 1RU Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor server with a wide selection of GbE, 10GbE, and 40GbE connectivity.
It will be displayed at booth 6WIND in hall 5 # 5B85

Universal CPE and SD-WAN:
Both operators and enterprises are investing in new ways to eliminate the costs of existing infrastructure by deploying uCPE and SD-WAN technologies that improve network flexibility and manageability. Advantech is hosting live network demonstrations, showcasing software from leading partners in the uCPE and SD-WAN ecosystem. Mobile demos can be pre-booked and viewed in the Advantech meeting room in Hall 5 #5L16MR and at any location throughout the event. Attendees will discover a range of uCPE white boxes for small and medium-sized business deployments that implement LTE, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi connectivity, providing scalable computing performance based on the Intel® Atom™ C2000 and C3000 series processors. Pre-set demonstrations are available at the Advantech booth in Hall 5 #5L16MR.

Advantech AI Solutions:
Advantech has partnered with Linker Networks at MWC18 to provide a complete AI platform solution with hardware and software components. Linker AI's software stack is optimized to run at full power on Advantech products with advanced workflow management intelligence, continuous learning, real-time inference, intelligent annotation, high reliability, and a low-latency NFV infrastructure. Advantech's SKY-6400 GPU server, based on the Intel® Xeon® Scalable series, provides powerful acceleration with single- or multi-node GPU support. The server is designed and optimized for managing deep learning infrastructure. The Advantech MIC-7500 Inference System offers SDKs and pre-trained models for various applications, such as transportation, manufacturing, and retail, simplifying the customer's development process.
