208-002_ClosedwebExcel's MTP® fiber optic cabling system offers a scalable, high-density solution, ideally suited for data centers or environments where space is limited and high availability is essential. The system is compliant with OM3, OM4, and OS2 requirements.

The changes to the product range include a new high-density 1U empty MTP® patch panel that offers scalable fiber optic deployment and supports up to 5 MTP® cassettes. The fold-down front panel provides easy access and, when closed, protects the installed patch cables and offers ample space for labeling. Once mounted, the panel can be lifted forward by releasing two side latches for easy access to the cassettes' LC connectors.

An angled version of the patch panel has also been added, supporting up to four cassettes with a maximum of 96 fiber cores on LC duplex connectors. The advantage of angled cassette mounting is that it reduces the bending of the connected fiber cables and routes them to either side of the cabinet.
Finally, Excel's MTP® to LC patch cables offer a flexible way to connect fiber optic equipment to MTP® backbone cables. Each patch cable is manufactured using mini patch cables, ensuring the fiber is a single piece in the assembly. Customers can choose from cable assemblies with 12, 24, 72, and 144 cores, in custom lengths to precisely meet their requirements.

Regarding the changes to the MTP® range, Simon Robinson, Product Manager at Excel, commented: "We've spent a lot of time talking with our customers to refine and improve our MTP® range, and we believe we have a robust solution that can meet all customer requirements."
According to Simon, “the quality of Excel’s MTP® solution is paramount, and we have chosen to use MTP® Elite connectors from market leader US Conec because they offer superior quality with low-loss properties.”
Excel’s complete MTP® product range includes the 5-cassette empty fiber optic high-density patch panel, the 4-cassette empty fiber optic high-density patch panel, MTP® fiber optic cassettes, MTP® fiber optic trunk cables, and MTP® to LC patch cables.
