KEYMILE is a Gold Sponsor of the FTTH Conference, one of Europe's leading trade shows and conferences on fiber optic technologies.
KEYMILE is a leading provider of communications transmission system technology and solutions. The company will be exhibiting at the FTTH Conference 2013 at the London Exhibition Centre, stand G-20. At the show, the focus will be on the MileGate multi-service access platform, which enables superior and cost-effective expansion of FTTx broadband. MileGate offers all broadband technologies from ADSL2plus to VDSL2 with vectoring for active and passive GbE optical connections. As a result, it enables cost-effective migration from FTTC to FTTH.

The new compact MileGate 2880 GPON solution is designed for data transmission in passive optical networks and complements the KEYMILE broadband access portfolio. With an eight-tier rack and a 1:64 split ratio, up to 4,096 subscribers can be connected. For smaller installations, there is the MileGate 2820 with a two-tier rack for connecting up to 1,024 subscribers. Therefore, in addition to the MileGate solution for point-to-point connections in active optical networks, there is now also a system for passive optical networks. Network operators can use MileGate GPON as a reasonably priced broadband solution to deploy triple-play services.

In point-to-point optical networks, thanks to network operators with very high-density ports, fiber connections can be provided to up to 480 subscribers using a 19" rack (8 HU). With optical CATV overlay for analog and digital television signals, network operators can also transmit cable television signals simultaneously with the IP data stream over the same optical fiber.

KEYMILE will also be giving a presentation at the FTTH Conference 2013 in London. On Thursday, February 21st at 11:15 a.m., Dr. Wolfgang Spahn, Technical Director of KEYMILE, will speak about the expansion of cost-effective and future-proof FTTH networks as part of session 12, "Innovation in FTTH Networks and the End-User Perspective."
