With extensive experience in the optical network environment, with over 20,000 optical channels installed and in operation, and a 90% presence in interconnections of the Data Centers of the Spanish financial sector, Fibernet is tackling the challenge of penetrating new markets, including the German market, following the recent acquisition of Funkwerk Enterprise by the Teldat group.

During these five days, Fibernet has demonstrated its technological developments with a priority focus on its security solutions: encryption of data traveling on fiber optic networks and advanced monitoring systems of fiber optic links (FiberSec) to be able to detect in real time what is happening on them.

Esther Gómez, General Director of Fibernet, explains that: “currently there is a certain paranoia surrounding what can be considered security, that is, that no one can access our data and that communications are secure; that is why Fibernet has evolved and is taking advantage of this market demand to offer solutions that secure communications.”.

Raúl Vicente, Sales Manager at Fibernet, comments that “within our expansion strategy, it is essential to have a presence at this important trade fair, which, while losing strength as an international event, remains a strong contender as a leading European, and especially German, technology fair. Fibernet's strong commitment to further developing the European market and the ever-increasing need for data protection, combined with the convergence of cloud computing and the communication needs of the enterprise sector, presents us with a significant opportunity to enhance and strengthen our advanced Layer 1 data encryption solutions and fiber optic monitoring and security equipment. These solutions are necessary to guarantee the confidentiality and integrity of information across all fiber optic interconnections within the data center environment and our clients' most critical interconnections.”.

He adds that “this has been our focus at CeBIT, which has generated significant interest among our clients and visitors. Our business vision is based on the security and integrity of optical information in fiber optic networks for the business environment as an essential improvement in information protection and privacy. A market as demanding as the European one, and especially the German one, is precisely the one that most requires this type of solution.”.

Fibernet was one of 19 Spanish companies that attended the German trade fair, whose central theme was the "share economy" and the possibilities of Big Data and cloud technologies. The Spanish company continues to offer, among other things, connectivity solutions for large data centers, business continuity projects, and data replication—fundamental areas in the Big Data phenomenon.
