Since the company's founding in July 1998, its product lines have expanded from 20 MHz bandwidth digital storage oscilloscopes (DSOs) to the current 1 GHz families. Rigol's milestones included the DS3000 series in 2002, the first high-performance desktop DSO, and the DS1000 series in 2006, the best mixed-signal oscilloscopes (MSOs) in terms of performance and price. The DS6000 series of high-speed digital oscilloscopes was introduced in 2010, and in 2011, the Rigol DG4000 series of waveform generators, the DS4000 series of digital oscilloscopes, and the DSA800 series of spectrum analyzers were launched.
The product line currently includes digital oscilloscopes, waveform generators, digital multimeters, DC power supplies, spectrum analyzers, and a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) system. With these products, Rigol is targeting a broad audience in the R&D, industrial, and mainstream markets.
The company has been serving international customers with its products and services since 2005 through 15 distributors in over 60 countries worldwide. Its operations in the United States began three years ago, and its EU operations commenced in 2011 in Puchheim, near Munich, Germany.
Rigol's expert engineering has resulted not only in numerous national and international awards but also in over 200 patents and significant contributions to standardization committees. Its quality control efforts are certified under ISO 9001:2000 for Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental Management Systems.
