Geopolitical shifts, rising cyber threats, and increasing regulatory demands have made protecting critical information an urgent global priority. In Japan, as the designation of specific essential infrastructure service providers under the Economic Security Promotion Act progresses, systems risk management and digital sovereignty have become critical for customers operating critical infrastructure. This involves minimizing data breaches, ensuring operational autonomy, complying with local regulations, maintaining transparent security, and exercising the necessary technological control to guarantee the overall integrity of IT systems.
Summary
By implementing the following initiatives, Fujitsu seeks to strengthen transparency in traceability, security risk management, device visibility, and operational autonomy in mission-critical environments and sovereign domains.
Supply of servers equipped with latest generation processors
Fujitsu will begin manufacturing sovereign AI servers "Made in Japan" in March 2026, equipped with NVIDIA HGX B300 and NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. Production will also include "Made in Japan" servers equipped with FUJITSU-MONAKA processors, which incorporate confidential computing technology to enhance security against threats.
Integrated national production system
Fujitsu Group's Kasashima plant will manufacture the servers, leveraging its experience in producing the Fugaku supercomputer and other high-reliability servers. This integrated domestic production system—encompassing everything from printed circuit board manufacturing to device assembly (starting in June and March 2026, respectively)—ensures full traceability and transparency, thereby strengthening technological sovereignty.
Expansion of strategic alliances
The Fujitsu Group will expand its collaboration with Super Micro Computer, Inc. to provide comprehensive and ongoing services for the planning, development, manufacturing, marketing, and maintenance of AI servers. These "Made in Japan" servers are slated for deployment in both the Japanese and European markets.
