“These figures reflect not only the success of resident companies, but also the transformation of the MITP into a true economic engine for the Republic of Moldova. The symbolic threshold of $1 billion positions us, metaphorically speaking, as the country’s first ‘institutional unicorn’: a public initiative with global scale that combines the stability of the framework offered by the state with the dynamism of the private sector. The park’s performance demonstrates that effective public policies, a predictable tax regime, and a focus on exports can generate a real and sustainable economic impact,” stated Marina Bzovii, administrator of the MITP.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Eugeniu Osmochescu, emphasized that this exceptional performance confirms the accelerated transformation of MITP into a genuine national economic engine, with a direct impact on economic growth, exports and the consolidation of a highly skilled labor market.
Accelerated Ecosystem Growth: 2,725 Resident Companies.
In 2025, the MITP reached 2,725 resident companies, one of the fastest growth rates since its launch. Compared to the previous year, the ecosystem expanded by 571 companies, representing annual growth of 27%, an unusual rate at the regional level.
This development reflects the continued attractiveness of the MITP regime for both local and international companies, as well as the business community's confidence in the stability and predictability of the framework offered. This growth confirms the maturation of the IT ecosystem in the Republic of Moldova and positions the MITP as a competitive regional platform, based on a single 7% tax, simplified processes, and access to global markets.
Human capital, competitive salaries, and sustainable growth.
In 2025, resident companies employed 25,809 specialists, of whom 23,110 (almost 90%) were directly involved in eligible activities. The average monthly salary was around 50,000 MDL (approximately €2,500 / $2,700), the highest in the Moldovan labor market and one of the most competitive in the region.
The top five types of activity with the highest sales in 2025 were customer-oriented software development, data processing, call center services and export dispatch, IT consulting and software publishing, confirming MITP's focus on high value-added segments and integration into global chains.
International Investment and Exports:
In 2025, resident companies in the MITP came from 44 countries, confirming its international character. Romania (75), Ukraine (55), the United States (38), Germany (32), and the United Kingdom (21) topped the list of investors.
Exports reached CDM 16.37 billion in 2025, equivalent to 88.5% of total eligible sales, solidifying their position as the backbone of the MITP ecosystem.
By 2026, total revenue is estimated to reach approximately CDM 19.9 billion, representing an additional growth of 5-6%.
Established in 2018, the Moldova Innovation Technology Park is Europe's first e-Park, offering a unique 7% tax regime and a stable framework guaranteed by the State until 2035, with operational validity until 2037.
