The solution enables the cost-effective implementation of Unified Communication and Collaboration (UC&C) tools, resulting in improved internal productivity and reduced connectivity expenses. Italtel's NetMatch-S SBC, developed according to Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) paradigms, is at the heart of the solution, allowing on-demand services that can be initiated within the provider's networked data center. This eliminates the cost of deploying the SBC on customer premises, as well as additional maintenance and operational expenses.

Service providers adopting the solution will be able to increase their revenue and operational efficiency by offering a service that can be launched without overloading or upgrading their networks. A leading telecom operator has already deployed the solution to rapidly roll out new SIP Trunking connections.

Italtel CEO Stefano Pileri stated: "This solution gives service providers a competitive edge by enabling them to offer flexible and scalable UC&C solutions in their clouds via an 'as-a-service' model. Their enterprise customers, in turn, will benefit from a flexible solution that offers security and service-level agreements, as well as comprehensive and automatic upgrades with best-in-class features, followed by a 'pay-as-you-grow' model that can be easily implemented.".

By improving the cloud computing paradigm, a service provider can offer solutions to its enterprise customers through a self-service portal.
The service definition can be established according to current business needs, while scalability can be agreed upon based on future business demands. Furthermore, Italtel's SBC's signaling and media interoperability feature means that service activation does not require complex configurations or interoperability testing when connecting to different types of IP-PBXs, including traditional PBXs behind a voice gateway, within the network.

The "SIP Trunking as a Service" offering uses NFV and SDN technologies that can be designed to implement innovative UC&C solutions.
