“Joining this initiative reinforces our commitment to sustainability and our initiatives focused on reducing our carbon footprint and using renewable energy sources, which, in the case of our Data Centers, is 100%. We continue working on our ESG strategy, moving towards a greener future and achieving a sustainable digital transformation,” explains Emilio Díaz, CEO of Nabiax.
Including Data Center operators and industry associations, the pact now has over 100 participating entities, which are committed to meeting common goals in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable and carbon-free energy, consumption, water reuse and reuse of emitted heat.
This self-regulation initiative, developed in cooperation with the European Commission, supports both the European Green Deal, which aims to make Europe the world's first climate-neutral continent by 2050, and the European Data Strategy, making EU data centres climate-neutral by 2030.
