With this new strategy, Synology announces the introduction of revolutionary solutions designed to cover different levels of needs, including hybrid cloud disaster recovery service, new all-flash storage, a complete private cloud collaboration suite, a next-generation Internet file transfer protocol, a new router, and the adaptation of its remote access application for working from mobile devices.

rosiel-lee-synology-w“Synology 2017 is our most important event of the year, where we have the opportunity to speak directly with our users and gather their feedback, which is invaluable for developing added value in our solutions and creating a top-tier experience specifically for them,” stated Rosiel Lee, Managing Director of Synology France and Southern Europe. “We aim to leverage our strength in software development to make SMEs more competitive, because we believe in the concept of ‘software-defined.’ We believe that by doing so, we help the Spanish market become a more attractive destination for international companies to do business.”.

The explosive growth of data has led to increasing demands on the overall performance of storage systems and external disaster recovery. In terms of storage performance, as the unit price of SSDs has fallen dramatically, more and more businesses have begun adopting flash storage solutions. Always seeking opportunities for growth, Synology announces its new FlashStation FS3017 all-flash storage solution with a rate of over 200,000 IOPS in 4K random writes, offering unparalleled performance at an affordable price. To meet the business needs for uninterrupted operation, Synology will also offer the Synology Proactive Care service for the proactive detection and analysis of server health. This service allows Synology to contact users before a potential problem occurs and address it proactively, with user authorization.

Regarding data protection and disaster recovery, in response to the Cloud Shift phenomenon, Synology is also launching its own cloud service, Synology Cloud2 (C2), so users can back up data and configure a disaster recovery target without changing existing infrastructure, taking data and service security to a new level at a low cost. This also means that Synology is transitioning from a private cloud provider to offering a complete hybrid cloud solution. The C2 solution runs on Synology's own servers

Applications to Generate New Value
In a globalized and digitized world where the internet is almost ubiquitous, most SMEs using Synology face the growing need for cloud collaboration and long-distance file transfer. To address these challenges, Synology is launching a new private cloud collaboration suite and a high-speed internet data transfer protocol, Synology Presto. The collaboration suite includes cloud-based spreadsheet and document applications (Synology Office), a communication application (Synology Chat), a calendar, and an email solution (MailPlus). Through extensive integration of all these applications, users can easily collaborate in the private cloud and increase productivity at work. Synology Presto, on the other hand, uses the unique Synology Internet Transfer Accelerator (SITA) technology to dramatically increase file transfer speeds between countries or continents, which will particularly benefit Spanish companies that rely on the frequent exchange of large files with foreign clients. It is especially useful in low-performance network environments.

marcos-de-santiago-wNetworks to Connect Infrastructure:
After launching its first router, the Synology RT1900ac, in 2015, which received a positive response in our country, according to Marcos de Santiago himself, the company will launch the Synology RT2600ac this year. With even more powerful hardware features and MU-MIMO technology, it is designed to meet the performance requirements of small and medium-sized businesses. Furthermore, another trend that should not be overlooked is the so-called "BYOD" (Bring Your Own Device). According to Gartner, 40 percent of workers worldwide will be mobile, meaning that many companies will need a secure and easy-to-use remote access solution for employees working from home or on the go. Designed to boost this type of work, Synology's VPN Plus app will be available on the brand's routers and will offer a clientless WebVPN service, as well as a fast, highly secure, and intuitive SSL VPN service for office workers, while allowing network administrators to perform detailed traffic monitoring and have control from a user-friendly management interface.
