“Our partner has excellent contacts with network operators and telecommunications companies. R&M has the necessary operational and financial capacity to promote the development of this market, making us a perfect match,” explains CEO Martin Reichle regarding the acquisition, which was completed on July 1. The transaction will allow R&M to benefit from the effects of this synergy and get even closer to its customers.

Based in Carcavelos, near Lisbon, LanCom Communicações, Lda. will become part of R&M’s new Portuguese subsidiary. R&M will retain its employees, including the management team, with Antonio Vinagre as director and Luis Alves as sales and marketing director. Both founded LanCom in 2007 and were instrumental in the company’s rapid growth and success. “Antonio Vinagre and Luis Alves are highly experienced and enjoy an excellent reputation in the Portuguese market,” explains Martin Reichle.

R&M's new Portuguese subsidiary will expand its main sales office and create new jobs to increase its warehouse capacity and improve service levels for its mobile operator customers. In the future, it will be possible to provide customized, on-site solutions to customers. The existing LanCom product range will continue to be available. Furthermore, R&M intends to strengthen its position in the structured cabling market for offices and buildings.
