With Subscriber status, Siemon will use the Code of Conduct to develop products, solutions, and programs that help data center owners and operators meet energy reduction targets. Siemon will also support its customers in developing and implementing actions to reduce or eliminate energy inefficiencies and will encourage them to endorse the Code of Conduct as committed “Participants.”.


The Code was created in response to the increasing energy consumption in data centers and aims to reduce the impact of this increase. It seeks to mitigate the environmental and economic impact of energy use and ensure energy supply. It addresses issues such as over-provisioning while maintaining the reliability and operation of the services provided by data centers. For stakeholders, it provides a practical approach, considering both IT and facility energy loads, at both the equipment and system levels.
