The MXview One next-generation integrated network management platform is designed to monitor and diagnose devices in industrial networks. It automatically discovers and displays network devices and SNMP/IP devices across subnets, enabling centralized management and configuration of all selected devices via a web browser. A dynamic topology view provides an overview of connection status, while comprehensive reports, event notifications, detailed device information, full visibility of redundant LAN connections, GOOSE messages, and many other features ensure transparency at all times.
One of the standout products at the booth is the EDS-4008 series of managed Fast Ethernet switches with eight ports, optionally four 802.3bt PoE ports and four 1 Gbps uplink ports. The series complies with the IEC 62443-4-2 and IEC 62443-4-1 industrial cybersecurity standards, ensuring product security and a secure development lifecycle. Moxa's proprietary Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy technologies enable networks with up to 250 nodes to recover in less than 20 ms. Furthermore, RSTP/STP ensures even greater system reliability and seamless integration with existing redundant backbones. With various power input options and housing designs, the EDS-4008 series switches can be integrated even in confined spaces.
The new EDS-G2005-EL series unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switches, the world's smallest, are ideal for applications requiring simple industrial Ethernet connections. They feature five Gigabit Ethernet ports in an IP40-rated metal housing (73.5 x 81 x 18 mm). These versatile switches are suitable for a wide range of applications across various industries, with Quality of Service (QoS) and Broadcast Storm Protection (BSP) functions that can be enabled and disabled via external DIP switches. With fanless cooling, a fully enclosed housing, and a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +75 °C, they are also well-suited for harsh industrial environments.
The new EDR-8010 series Next-Gen Firewall industrial firewalls serve as both an industrial switch and an industrial firewall, featuring eight FE ports and two Gigabit ports, NAT, VPN, and managed Layer 2 switch capabilities. They are specifically designed for Ethernet-based security applications in critical remote control and monitoring networks. They create multiple security zones and pipelines, protecting machines or equipment components while connecting a sufficient number of PLC/SCADA systems in factory automation.
Numerous use cases can be experienced live
On a large demonstration wall, SPS visitors can experience Moxa products in real-world use cases. These include:
- Large OT networks: Easy-to-manage and secure OT networks based on IEC 62443 connect machines, workers, engineers, and managers, as well as service providers and business partners, from the field level to the edge of enterprise IT.
- Remote connectivity: A variety of solutions enable machine manufacturers to achieve faster and simpler OT asset management and OEM services without compromising security.
- Basic connectivity and security: With Moxa's retrofit portfolio for industrial gateways, serial machines can continue to be integrated into the OT network.
- Integration of all major industrial protocols and security compliant with IEC 62443: The combination of intelligent switches and NAT-102 is ideal for serial machine manufacturers who want to integrate standardized equipment with identical IP addresses into their customers' plants with minimal effort.
- Industrial wireless solutions for intralogistics: The new, robust access points and clients, along with super-fast roaming, ensure stable and uninterrupted connections for mobile machines (AGVs, AMRs).
- Integration of virtual PLCs with future-proof OT networks: With IEC-62443-4-2 certified managed switches and state-of-the-art firewalls, future trends and technologies, such as virtual PLCs, can be integrated, and secure function- and device-based communication ensures maximum flexibility without compromising security.
- Future-proof OT networks for motion control with TSN: The new TSN-G5008 switch enables more decentralized, intelligent, and significantly scalable communication for Ethernet-based motion control. It fully meets the hard-to-determine requirements for synchronized multi-axis systems.
- Virtual patching of legacy HMI applications: Next-generation firewalls and the ability to virtually patch critical components allow for the continued safe use of older panel computers.
- Data for the digital twin of the manufacturing environment: By combining networking and communication products with devices from Moxa's IT portfolio, companies can ensure the data transmission and aggregation necessary to create a digital twin of their factory or facility.
