Under this Agreement, the lines of research and collaboration projects between Adif and the multinational Information Technology company are established at the Railway Technology Centre (CTF) of Adif in the Technology Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga.

Among the main areas of interest for both organizations is the DaVinci system, developed by Indra and owned by Adif, which is considered the most advanced platform in the world for railway traffic management.

Furthermore, both companies will focus their efforts on railway signaling and safety. In this area, Indra has developed a new RBC (Radio Block Center) system to improve signaling within the framework of the future European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS), thanks to the development of homologation and interoperability certification processes for the system in the CTF's GSM-R laboratory and Adif's test trains.

In this regard, Indra, the leading IT multinational in Spain and one of the main players in Europe, has established a research and development laboratory specializing in advanced solutions for rail traffic at the CTF (Central Railway Terminal). The multinational will thus combine its capabilities with those of Adif (Spain's railway infrastructure manager), with the aim of consolidating Spain's position as a global technological leader in high-speed rail.

The Malaga Railway Technology Centre has two specialized laboratories of Adif: the GSM-R laboratory, for RBC-Train communications technology and the development of data engineering for ERTMS; and the ICT laboratory, dedicated to intelligent transport systems and the evolution of the DaVinci system, an advanced railway traffic management system.

With the creation of a new laboratory, Indra has allocated a team of 20 highly qualified researchers and specialized technicians to the new technology center in Malaga, from which it will enhance its cutting-edge developments for the control and management of railway operations, in which it has been collaborating with Adif for more than a decade.

With this new R&D laboratory, Indra strengthens its presence in the Andalusia Technology Park (PTA) in Malaga, where it has operated a Software Lab since early 2004. The Malaga Software Lab, through which the company collaborates with the PTA and the University of Malaga, is part of Indra's Software Lab Network. This network comprises 20 centers distributed across Europe, Asia, and Latin America, employing more than 4,000 professionals specializing in high-level software development for all the markets in which Indra operates
