Schneider Electric's EcoStruXure™ architecture and a strong support for all of the company's energy management initiatives. APC by Schneider Electric's management software portfolio, InfraStruXure, a critical element of EcoStruXure, will be the team's primary tool. Through InfraStruXure, this data center software unit will simplify and manage operational efficiency and energy management across all aspects of the data center.
According to The 451 Group's report "Datacenter Management & Energy-Efficiency Software" (July 2009), "Schneider Electric has the positioning, brand, vision, and market penetration to acquire a leading position in data center energy management software. Furthermore, the company's international recognition contributes to the creation of important alliances. InfraStruxure is currently one of the existing solutions on the market, but it has the potential to become the clear leader.".
InfraStruxure helps companies improve their energy efficiency and reduce costs, facilitating planning, forecasting, and short- and long-term investment and savings. With this solution, data center managers and IT executives gain a comprehensive view of the data center's physical infrastructure quality of service, end-to-end energy usage, and various associated costs. The vendor-independent software provides the first and most extensive integration with critical IT support systems, including energy management, building management, and business management, enabling monitoring, control, and troubleshooting in a user-friendly environment.
The software portfolio includes InfraStruxure Operations, for daily operations and inventory management; InfraStruxure Central, for monitoring and data collection; InfraStruxure Capacity; InfraStruxure Change, for planning and optimization; and InfraStruxure Energy Efficiency – for energy analysis and server placement design in a rack.
