Claranet's new data center is connected to a backbone network accessible to major European telecommunications operators and is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards. This new data center maintains a high level of quality, which has led to an increase in its current footprint, thus expanding its offerings, geographic reach, and energy efficiency. The space will have an initial capacity of 100 m², with the possibility of future expansion.
This expansion allows Claranet Portugal to manage three data centers offering cloud computing, managed hosting, rack and server colocation, and dedicated hosting solutions.
Furthermore, this new facility will strengthen the company's hosting services and allow Claranet clients to contract services such as disaster recovery if they require hosting critical data in two completely independent data centers within the same location. The new technical installations are designed to support high-density power configurations. At the same time, high energy efficiency standards are achieved using a refrigeration architecture that combines the efficiency of closed aisle containment (Cold Aisle Containment – CAC) with free cooling technology.
This new space features advanced safety and conditioning characteristics: fire protection, humidity controls, alarm systems, secure access, and 24/7 monitoring of all services.
