By Carlos Martinez The total number of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) lines reached 13.4 million in August, with 79,514 new subscriptions, according to the latest telecommunications market data published on the CNMCData portal. FTTH added 79,514 new lines in August. 500,862 mobile numbers and 118,707 fixed-line numbers were ported.
Movistar accounts for 37.1% of all FTTH lines, with a total of 4.96 million lines.
On an annual basis, compared to August 2021, the increase of 1.1 million FTTH lines stands out, compared to the loss of 0.5 million lines with DSL technology.
77% of the total lines were concentrated in the three main operators, Movistar, Orange (including Jazztel) and Vodafone (including Ono).
