The operation is part of NxN's expansion strategy, which also includes exploring new investment and development opportunities in Portugal.
Coinciding with its entry into the Portuguese market, NxN Data Centers has announced its intention to invest up to 100 million euros over the next three years to develop its platform in the country.
This investment forecast is not currently tied to any specific project. The funds may be allocated to future opportunities that the company is currently analyzing with the aim of progressively expanding its infrastructure in Portugal.
The strategy includes the development of new digital infrastructure and the expansion of the company's presence in the Portuguese market.
Évora, first NxN data center in Portugal
The acquired data center has 1 MW of installed capacity and is located in Évora, a city situated on the territorial axis between Lisbon and Madrid.
The facility already serves customers in Portugal. Its acquisition allows NxN to begin operations in the country without having to wait for the construction and commissioning of a new facility.
The next step will be to integrate the Évora center into the company's data center platform and use this infrastructure as a starting point to develop its activity in the Portuguese market.
The operation also expands NxN 's presence in the Iberian data center market at a time marked by the growth in digital infrastructure needs and processing capacity.
The potential investment of up to 100 million euros over the next three years will determine the next phase of this expansion, although the company has not yet detailed the additional projects, locations, or capabilities it could be allocated to.
