Based on SDN/NFV and Big Data technologies, ZTE has developed the Elastic Conductor network service to address the long lead times, service development challenges, and low efficiency of network resource scheduling by operators. Elastic Conductor supports the unified orchestration and management of ZTE SDN networks, NFV services, and virtualized data centers (VDCs). It also enables service integration and unified release; network resource allocation and elastic scaling; real-time monitoring and dynamic adjustment of network services; automated operation; reduced operating costs and improved network service guarantee capacity; simulation testing and grayscale release; visual service development and automated deployment; shorter time to market; and improved online service capacity.
To promote the development of the Orchestrator service industry, ZTE, together with CMCC and other partners, has completed the development of an open-source NFV Orchestrator prototype. Under CMCC's auspices, the prototype was successfully integrated with virtual network elements from multiple vendors, such as ZTE vIMS, RAISECOM nanocellgw, and CertusNet vBras, thus completing multi-vendor NFV USECASE services.
As a technical innovator, ZTE shares a common understanding and vision with its operator partners for the evolution of SDN/NFV networks. The Orchestrator service, an intelligent, controlled ElasticNet fusion pipeline with open center capabilities, plays a crucial role in network architecture. ZTE and CMCC will collaborate closely and extensively to advance this field together.
