sn4670webThe ITU G.992.5 ADSL modem reduces equipment costs, simplifies network architecture, and streamlines deployment for service providers and SMEs. The new PRI-class and BRI-class VoIP IADs combine ADSL WAN access with VoIP gateway and router functionalities in a single device.

Patton's one-box solution eliminates the cost and complexity of an external ADSL modem when migrating legacy PBX phone systems to IP. ADSL IADs feature a common interface with the service provider, regardless of the voice equipment used on the customer's premises.

DSL subscribers number over 314 million worldwide, the majority of whom are ADSL subscribers. Patton is one of the industry's first manufacturers to offer PRI VoIP IADs with an integrated ADSL interface. ADSL upstream bandwidth can support 15 to 30 VoIP calls, covering most PRI installations.

The ITU G.992.5 ADSL2+ interface is available on the SmartNode 4670 BRI/FXS/FXO VoIP IAD (8 to 16 calls) and the SmartNode 4990 VoIP IAD PRI/T1/E1 (15 to 120 calls). Both are ideal for connecting traditional PBX systems with ITSP and SIP Trunking services.

The SmartNode range—like all Patton products—includes free gold-standard customer support, which lowers the total cost of ownership (TCO), typically by about half. While most manufacturers offer expensive support service contracts or hourly charges, Patton provides free lifetime support—including downloadable software updates—at no additional cost.
