It is the first product in the SURIENT security suite, which offers a range of end-to-end solutions that enhance the security of data centers, data transfers, and user devices. Its design focuses on preventing unauthorized physical access to servers, data, storage, and the network, thanks to the Fujitsu Palm Secure biometric authentication solution, which uses a palm vein recognition system along with sensors and electromechanical locks.

Fujitsu SURIENT enables organizations to implement granular, user-based access control on data center hardware. This provides businesses with a comprehensive solution for managing access rights, monitoring servers, storage, and network access, and detecting when doors open and close, while logging all access. The solution can be easily integrated into existing data center infrastructures as a key component for meeting stringent physical security requirements and preparing for the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This new Rack solution is part of Fujitsu's new SURIENT security portfolio, a broad range of technologies and solutions that helps organizations worldwide strengthen end-to-end IT security. With it, the company addresses the security of data center endpoints and data transfer processes with a consistent and user-friendly approach. It is part of Fujitsu's comprehensive offering for managing cybersecurity, which includes consulting and a wide range of products, solutions, and services.

How the Solution Works:
It has been designed to protect 19" racks from unauthorized access by integrating sensors and electromechanical locks. The rack door can only be opened once the lock has been opened externally. To open the door, an authorized employee must be authenticated via Palm Secure ID Match, which is based on palm vein recognition. The opening and closing of the rack doors is monitored by sensors. In addition, vibration sensors can detect and alert of any intrusion attempt. All activities are logged in the system, allowing for complete auditing capabilities.
