The 21600 is a high-performance system designed to optimize the protection offered by Check Point Software Blades security modules.
The new 21600 appliance leverages Check Point's Software Blade™ architecture, enabling organizations to scale their security platforms to meet current and future requirements. Customers can consolidate any combination of protection modules, including Firewall, VPN, IPS, Application Control, Mobile Access, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Anti-Bot, Identity Management, URL Filtering, Anti-spam, Antivirus, Advanced Networking, and Acceleration & Clustering, all into a single, multifunctional gateway.
Powered by Check Point's security acceleration and multi-core technologies, the 21600 delivers enhanced firewall throughput, from 75 to 110 Gbps, achieving an SPU ratio of 3,300, helping corporations maximize their security with optimal performance. The 21600 also supports the Security Acceleration Module, which delivers latency times below 5 microseconds, boosting firewall throughput to up to 110 Gbps, making it an ideal solution for transactional environments.

1-> For IT administrators, measuring the raw throughput (Gbps) of a security appliance rarely reflects its performance in a real-world environment, where different security technologies are combined to protect the network. To address this issue, Check Point introduced SecurityPower™ last year, a new security performance metric that can be used to measure the performance requirements for different types of customers. For example, if we were to activate the Firewall and IPS capacity for a 400 Mbps network link, we would need 265 SPUs (SecurityPower), while in a larger environment, with a demand of 1,000 Mbps with Firewall, IPS, and Antivirus enabled, we would need up to 1,003 SPUs. Customers can use these values as benchmarks when making SecurityPower (SPU)-based comparisons of any device – enabling them to select the gateway that meets their specific needs in terms of power and scalability.
