The software enables energy consumption management in data centers and offices, providing organizations with the tools to reduce energy use and mitigate organizational risks. JEM operates agentlessly, meaning no software agents need to be installed on individual energy-consuming devices.With the integration of JEM, Raritan's power distribution units now have access to another professional partner's software platform. Along with Raritan's own data center power management software, Power IQ, which accurately measures the current (amperes) and kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy consumed by all devices connected to the network, the standard deviation of these measurements is a maximum of +/- 1 percent. This functionality provides data center managers with greater transparency regarding energy consumption across multiple devices, making it easier to identify high energy consumers. Furthermore, the remote control capabilities offered by Raritan iPDUs provide even more energy-saving potential by allowing for the safe disconnection of previously unused or underutilized devices. The remote control functionality also allows for the activation of devices when required. Data center managers can utilize the built-in sensors to ensure optimal overall management.
