Today's launch marks Huawei as the first company in the industry to introduce the DC2 technical architecture.
With the development of enterprises and operators, previous data center architectures, which are dispersed and independent, no longer support evolving service applications. Leveraging its deep understanding of customers, Huawei introduced the innovative DC2 architecture, which successfully consolidates multiple dispersed, layered, and heterogeneous data centers into a new distributed cloud data center, helping customers improve resource utilization and management efficiency while protecting their investment.
"As part of Huawei's efforts to address the challenges facing data centers brought about by cloud computing, the new DC2 architecture is able to reduce TCO, increase IT flexibility, and boost data center management efficiency by optimizing resource scheduling and utilization, effectively supporting customers' businesses," said Chen Shijun, general manager of Huawei IT Data Center Solutions.
There are two key technologies in DC2. Huawei FusionSphere, enabled by OpenStack, ensures that the architecture is open. It supports plug-and-play for IT devices with heterogeneous interfaces and multiple virtual products. Huawei ManageOne provides unified management of distributed, layered data centers, including remote subsidiaries.
