The Trellis platform is an open architecture DCIM solution that enables real-time analysis of events recorded in both physical and logical systems within the data center. Thanks to the unprecedented visualization and control that the Trellis platform offers data center professionals, it is possible to make better decisions in less time, thereby maximizing the capacity, efficiency, and availability of the data center.

Oracle's Fusion Middleware will provide a common language to ensure seamless communication between the various applications managed by the Trellis platform. Furthermore, with Oracle's leading Fusion Middleware solution, the Trellis platform will have the scalability needed to handle the massive amounts of data it must consolidate and analyze, providing instant data visualization and management of data centers.

“Data center operators manage information that can change in an instant; however, they are often unable to predict how real-time changes from IT teams will affect the underlying infrastructure,” said Steve Hassell, president of Emerson Network Power’s Avocent business unit. “The Trellis platform will address this by combining IT team management with infrastructure management and visualizing these elements together. Selecting Oracle Fusion Middleware represents a significant step forward in our efforts to help our customers streamline and improve data center management.”.

The Trellis platform, which will be available early next year, will combine Emerson Network Power's extensive experience in data center systems, software, and services with Oracle's Application Integration Architecture and its components. The solution will provide comprehensive visualization of the physical and logical systems of the data center, including Emerson Network Power solutions spanning from chips to the network.
