EcoStruxure™ Micro Data Center solutions consist of a configurable, pre-assembled, enclosed IT infrastructure that includes power, cooling, security, and management. These new micro data centers leverage existing infrastructure and can reduce capital expenditures by up to 48%. The new R range reinforces these advantages, helping customers minimize challenges:
• It is built to withstand harsh indoor environments and applications with minimum ingress protection ratings of IP54 and NEMA 12. Industrial edge environments can be challenging with high levels of dust, humidity, and wide temperature variations.
• It can be managed remotely using Schneider Electric's software and digital services offering when IT personnel are not on-site. EcoStruxure IT, an open platform for any provider, provides the power and flexibility needed for users to manage critical infrastructure themselves, with a partner, or for Schneider Electric service technicians to manage assets
. It is equipped with security features, such as access control, intrusion detection, and security cameras, allowing it to be installed in unsecured locations.
Its design can be standardized across various environments with a single, comprehensive solution that is easier to deploy and maintain than disparate systems.

What is Industrial Edge Computing?
For industrial operators to reap the benefits of increased automation, they cannot rely solely on cloud technology to achieve the resilience and speed required by artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other Industry 4.0 technologies. Edge data centers are IT infrastructure cabinets, spaces, or facilities geographically distributed to enable network access points. When applied to industrial environments, such as factories or distribution centers, we can refer to this as "Industrial Edge Computing."
