APM 1.1 further strengthens enterprise cyber resilience

Synology APM11 W

The latest version of APM introduces significant enhancements to help organizations strengthen their data protection strategy. Key highlights include:
• Enhanced cyber resilience: APM 1.1 reinforces data security by introducing a new Allow Access Mode that provides granular network control, permitting incoming traffic only from whitelisted IP addresses during backup operations. Upon completion, or if backups finish early, the system automatically reverts to full isolation mode.
• Streamlined compliance support: The new update enables organizations to perform multi-site and multi-geo backups to maintain data in designated geographic locations, thus meeting local data residency requirements. •
Bulk deployment: IT can now easily deploy agents in batches to back up Proxmox environments.
• New tiering support and remote storage options: ActiveProtect now supports data tiering, seamlessly moving data to your chosen remote storage destination to meet your long-term retention needs. Furthermore, while our initial remote storage support includes on-premises solutions (Synology SA and HD Series) and cloud platforms (C2 Object Storage and Amazon S3), the APM 1.1 update expands compatibility to include Wasabi cloud storage and select XS/XS+ devices.
ActiveProtect devices are available globally through Synology's network of distributors and partners.
