As part of the ActiveProtect range, the DP5200 offers up to 36 TB of usable capacity in a compact 1U form factor and incorporates all the enterprise backup features of ActiveProtect Manager (APM), including:
- Broad platform compatibility:
The DP5200 protects a wide variety of environments, including virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V), physical infrastructure (Windows and Linux servers, Windows and macOS PCs), SaaS applications (Microsoft 365), databases (Oracle and Microsoft SQL), and file servers, with support for SMB, NetApp, and Nutanix systems.
The upcoming update to APM 2.0* will extend support to new workloads, including Azure VM, Amazon EC2, Nutanix AHV, Proxmox VE, and Google Workspace.
- Large-scale unified management:
The DP5200 can function as a standalone backup server to protect all workloads in a local location or as a centralized management server capable of consolidating up to 120,000 workloads and monitoring 1,000 servers distributed across multiple locations, all from a single interface.
- AI-enhanced active defense:
The DP5200 strengthens security by combining access controls backed by multi-factor authentication (MFA) with an AI-enhanced architecture. The solution enables the implementation of a 3-2-1-1-0 protection strategy using immutable WORM storage, logical air gaps, and version-based tiered storage.
With the upcoming arrival of APM 2.0, DP5200 will evolve from passive recovery to active defense, using AI and machine learning (AI/ML) technologies to detect anomalies during backups and analyze potential malware threats, helping to ensure that future restores are malware-free.
