The RS2825RP+ offers sequential read/write speeds of up to 3,519/1,790 MB/s, enabling fast file sharing, synchronization, and backups in office environments. It supports up to 560 TB of raw storage when expanded with the Synology RX1225RP, making it suitable for data-intensive applications and growing storage needs.
The RS2825RP+ is designed as a complete system to deliver consistent performance and reliability with Synology hard drives. It follows a carefully selected drive compatibility framework, backed by over 7,000 hours of rigorous testing. To ensure optimal integration and long-term reliability, DSM in the RS2825RP+ requires compatible hard drives* for installation.
Scalable storage: Start with 16 drive bays and expand to 28 with a compatible expansion unit. Supports both 3.5" SATA HDDs and 2.5" SATA SSDs for flexible storage configurations.
All-flash and hybrid support: Deploy SATA SSDs as storage or read/write cache; further accelerate performance with Synology M.2 NVMe SSDs via an optional expansion card.
Networking flexibility: One built-in 10GbE port and two Gigabit LAN ports, with additional 1/10/25GbE expansion options via a PCIe 3.0 expansion slot.
