Transcom, represented by dBm Ingenieros, has developed the first interference locator based on an Android platform. This is the SpecMini spectrum analyzer, capable of operating in the frequency band from 9 kHz to 6 GHz. In combination with a vector triangulation interference location application based on the angle of arrival of the interfering signal (AoA geolocation method), it can accurately display the point of origin of the interference on the OpenStreetMap application included with the device.
The combination of:

• Android operating system with multi-touch capacitive screen
• AoA signal geolocation algorithm
• OpenStreetMap application for locating spots with GPS coordinates
• And a broadband directional antenna makes the SpacMini-SPM-S007 the essential tool for field technicians responsible for ensuring the quality of a radio communications service to keep the spectrum clean of unwanted signals.
