Matooma affirms its commitment to establishing a presence in the Spanish market with the opening of a subsidiary in Madrid. With a global team of 35, the Spanish subsidiary initially comprises Jean Triquet and Daniel Sanz, who will handle sales from the Madrid office to support the Spanish subsidiaries of French clients and develop new contacts in the Iberian Peninsula. These clients already include Wellness Telecom, bq, Sinapse Energía, and Healthy Sports Tech, among others. “Spain is one of the leading countries in Europe in investing in M2M, with 4.33 million operational lines currently, and Cisco estimates 210 million M2M connections in the country by 2020. This dynamic of the Spanish market and its importance in the innovation and IoT sector have confirmed our commitment to developing our business in Spain,” explains Frédéric Salles, CEO of Matooma.
With the aim of becoming a key player in the IoT/M2M sector in Spain, Matooma offers customized solutions to IoT manufacturers and integrators with fixed monthly pricing and no long-term commitment, based on each application type and its specific needs. Thanks to its dedicated M2M Manager platform, the company currently manages over 200,000 single- and multi-operator SIM-connected devices for more than 2,000 clients in France and worldwide (including Securitas, Vinci, and Europ Assistance). Previously known for its M2M solution for devices connected via SIM card, Matooma has also been offering MatooWan since 2016, a network dedicated to IoT, specially designed to connect objects to each other, guaranteeing interoperability, remote management, data protection and security at the heart of the network.
