The MAOM-003419 is a low-power, high-gain, wide-bandwidth EML (electroabsorptive modulated laser) controller capable of output voltages up to 2 Vpp, while consuming less than 500 mW of power. The device features differential inputs for common-mode rejection and a single-terminal output for controlling industry-standard EMLs. The MAOM-003419 is available in a small form-factor surface-mount package and integrates high-frequency T-bias for the EA modulator.
"The MAOM-003419 is an ideal solution for customers developing PAM-4-based EML transceivers," commented Raymond Moroney, director of product marketing, high-performance analog, MACOM. "MACOM has achieved excellent performance with our PAM-4 IP chipset, and we believe this product is a significant step forward in enabling next-generation 200G and 400G optical connectivity for enterprise and data center applications."
Samples of MAOM-003419 are now available.
MACOM Technology Solutions Inc. ("MACOM") has introduced the MAOM-003419, a four-channel EML (Externally Modulated Laser) linear controller for PAM-4 28 Gbaud solutions for 200G and 400G.
