The output power can be programmed to a fixed value between -19dBm and +7.5dBm.
The RN4020 module can now dynamically switch between functioning as a Central unit and functioning as a Peripheral unit.

The USB port on RN4020-Pictail development boards can also be used to update the firmware.
The new firmware file can be supplied by Sagitron or downloaded directly from the Microchip website.
All features and certifications included in the initial firmware version 1.00 for the Microchip RN4020 module remain valid in the new firmware version 1.20.
