This product belongs to the new series of RF tags for Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) with enhanced performance (EP). The EP Clear Tamper Tag is unique and offers extensive design options, all compatible with retailers' loss prevention strategies.
Checkpoint is the first company to offer this flexibility while introducing a key technological advancement for retailers: a security label that doesn't interfere with packaging design and provides enhanced brand visibility. EP Clear features a strong adhesive and scratch- and chemical-resistant printing, making it virtually invulnerable. It also offers excellent detection for a small EAS label, and its powerful adhesive ensures optimal protection for small, high-value items.
EP CLEAR tamper-evident tags are a visual deterrent against theft that can also be used for source tagging programs. EP CLEAR Tamper Tags have been tested by two major retailers and have shown that losses are reduced by more than 50%. Health and Beauty products, for example, can benefit from these new RF tags, as their small size allows them to protect items such as cosmetics and perfumes, which are frequently targeted by thieves and organized crime groups. Checkpoint also offers retailers the option to customize the tags to suit their needs, such as with a company logo or a specific store identifier that includes the store number and/or address.
The EP CLEAR Tamper Tag provides exceptional EAS detection in a compact form factor, especially when used with the EVOLVE EAS system. EP CLEAR Tamper Tags and EVOLVE antennas delivered 95% or higher detection rates in retailer pilot tests. The tags can be applied in-store or quickly integrated into manufacturers' source tagging processes.
“The EP CLEAR Tamper Tag fulfills our commitment to providing retailers with alternatives that help them reduce losses and increase merchandise availability in stores,” said Farrokh Abadi, Global President of Loss Prevention Management Systems at Checkpoint Systems. “Along with the long list of benefits that the EP CLEAR tag range currently offers, the introduction of this new tag brings a new level of collaboration between FMCG manufacturers, retailers, and Checkpoint to improve merchandise availability in stores. We are confident that the EP CLEAR Tamper Tag will meet retailers’ needs and make a difference to our customers’ bottom line, while also enhancing the consumer shopping experience.”
