Once the option is installed, the MS46500B series can reduce production costs and more efficiently verify the performance of high-frequency passive components such as antennas, filters, and duplexers during manufacturing.

In addition to E-band frequency capability, Anritsu also offers 20 GHz and 40 GHz options for the ShockLine MS46500B series. With these options, the MS46500B vector network analyzers meet the requirements for S-parameter and time-domain measurements related to microwave applications.

Cost-effective E-band solution.
With an E-band frequency option from 55 GHz to 92 GHz, the MS46500B offers an unprecedented combination of high performance and low cost in the E-band vector network analyzer market, positioning itself as a superior alternative to other, much more expensive, broadband systems used in cost-sensitive applications. Available in 2- and 4-port configurations, this option expands the frequency range of the ShockLine vector network analyzer family and makes the MS46500B an ideal analyzer for measuring passive millimeter-wave components used in 5G microcells, driver assistance and collision avoidance radars, near- and far-field antennas, and personal communications.

Microwave Options:
The new 20 GHz and 40 GHz options add power control, LRL/LRM calibration, and other capabilities previously unavailable on ShockLine microwave vector network analyzers. The MS46500B, with its microwave options, is ideal for testing components used in applications such as networking equipment, automotive, signal integrity, and systems integration. The ShockLine MS46500B series is particularly well-suited for integration into measurement systems due to its typical dynamic range of 120 dB at 40 GHz, full remote programming capability, and small 3U rack-mount form factor.

The 2-port MS46522B and 4-port MS46524B vector network analyzers utilize the same software, command syntax, drivers, and programming environments as other ShockLine instruments. This powerful feature allows program code written for ShockLine vector network analyzers to be reused on E-band and microwave instruments with little or no modification.

ShockLine software also provides a powerful user interface (GUI) for manual testing. When connected to a user-supplied touchscreen, this comprehensive GUI offers numerous functionalities, including network extraction, network connection and disconnection, and time-domain analysis with periodic triggering. Development testing and troubleshooting are simplified by advanced cursor functionality, boundary lines, and other software features.

The ShockLine MS46500B series of vector network analyzers boasts best-in-class dynamic range, with 140 dB at 2 GHz and a typical value >120 dB up to 40 GHz, along with fast sweep times and the best peak output power on the market, all at an affordable price. It is one of five ShockLine series, comprising 1, 2, or 4-port models in multiple form factors. All ShockLine vector network analyzers feature LAN or USB interfaces to suit any test environment and can cost-effectively measure passive devices in cost-sensitive manufacturing, engineering, and educational applications.
