• Compensates for analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and input distortion.
• Minimizes spurious interlacing emissions.
• Reduces overall noise bandwidth.
This results in more consistent and accurate measurements across the usable bandwidth, greatly improving frequency-domain measurements in mobile and RF communications. Furthermore, the digitizer's post-processing compensation also enhances the spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) and intermodulation product (IMx) specifications.
This high-fidelity digitizer allows the user to choose one of five available configurations to suit their application needs, ranging from 1.6 Gmu/s with an instantaneous bandwidth of 650 MHz to 100 Mmu/s with an instantaneous bandwidth of 50 MHz. Furthermore, it is possible to achieve a data acquisition length of up to 64 Mmu per channel.
“The BB1 option was developed for test applications that require a higher dynamic range and excellent SFDR fidelity,” explained Thierry Ortelli, Head of Digitizer R&D at Keysight. “Across the instantaneous bandwidth, the high SFDR and linear performance offer unique capabilities for testing radio frequency integrated circuit components.”.
By adding processing capacity to the controller, the BB1 U5303A ADC card option, in combination with the data analysis software, enables numerous mobile and RF communication measurements, such as error vector magnitude and intermodulation distortion.
The BB1 high-fidelity digitizer application option is now available for the U5303A 12-bit high-speed PCIe digitizer.
